Child Soldiers: Giving a Voice to Children Affected by War
Children, on account of their special vulnerability are the most seriously affected. This stands to justify the ever increasing attention that the subject of child combatants or child soldiers is now given in many countries of the world. It is relevant to raise awareness of the plight of children used as soldiers and to galvanize government, local and international NGOs and civil society efforts to protect children affected by armed conflict.

National Crime Prevention Centre
A Centre that focuses on the Crime Prevention Strategy . The strategy is to analyse factors like family violence, school problems and drug abuse. It aims to reduce crime and victimization by tackling these factors, and therefore, crime before it happens.

Abolish the Death Penalty - Amnesty
Amnesty International opposes the death penalty because it is a violation of two fundamental human rights, as laid down in Articles 3 and 5 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights: -the right to life, and -the right not to be tortured or subject to any cruel, inhuman or degrading punishment. This section of the site discsses the issues that surround the death penalty.

The Young Men's Guyde (YMG) is a ground-breaking project that has been produced by and for young men. The site/group discusses and works on changing some of the bad stuff that's goin' down in Canada... especially violence.

Youth Menace Recording
This is a 10 minute audio clip from "Youth Menace," Canada's only radio show that interviews young offenders in crack houses, detention centres, and the back seats of cars etc. It is not censored or screened through "rose coloured glasses." It provides an opporunity for youth to talk about issues like drugs, police violence, poverty, homelessness and other problems to be discussed. It's interesting to listen to while browsing the site.
